Along the trail, you’ll encounter lush greenery, and exotic plants, and perhaps even spot some local wildlife in their natural habitat.

Your adventure doesn’t end there; you'll also meet some of the dedicated farmers from Monte Rojo and Carenero. Engaging with these locals, you'll gain insight into their traditional agricultural practices and learn about the unique ways they cultivate their land.

**Start Time: 8:30 AM**

Prepare for an exciting early morning adventure as we make our way to our designated meeting point in the Carenero area. Depending on where you are located in Samaná, the journey may take roughly an hour. To ensure a smooth start, please plan accordingly to arrive on time.

Upon your arrival at the meeting point, you will be welcomed by our knowledgeable local expert, who will provide a warm introduction and outline the day’s itinerary. While you settle in, enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee or a refreshing natural juice to energize you for the day ahead. Additionally, restrooms will be available for your convenience before we embark on our hiking excursion.

Our adventure kicks off at the charming Cucuyo Hotel and Restaurant, nestled in the heart of Monte Rojo. Here, we will take a moment to immerse ourselves in the vibrant culture and warm hospitality of the local community. After our introduction, we'll embark on our hiking journey, descending through lush landscapes that provide breathtaking views of the sparkling ocean.

As we make our way downhill, you’ll be treated to panoramic vistas of Samana Bay, with its tranquil waters glistening in the sunlight, as well as Cayo Levantado, a picturesque island known for its white sandy beaches, and the stunning expanse of Los Haitises National Park, with its unique limestone cliffs and diverse ecosystems.

Throughout the hike, we’ll pause at various points to capture unforgettable photographs of the stunning scenery. We will also stop to sample fresh coconut from a local farmer, who is not only the landowner but also a knowledgeable guide to the area.

This interaction will give you a chance to connect with the community and learn more about their way of life while enjoying a delicious, refreshing treat.

We will next travel to the beautiful Carenero area, known for its inviting ocean waters. If you’re interested in taking a refreshing dip in the ocean, be sure to pack your swimsuit and towel. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the sun and the sea, so don’t forget to bring any other essentials you might need for a day at the beach!
